Juan David Espana is a Montreal-based storyteller. His creative work seamlessly blends Latin American culture with diverse genres, while his professional work encompasses editing academic and institutional publications, as well as developing corporate identity. With a background in both narrative design and editorial work, he is passionate about building stories and refining content that connects with audiences.
Professional:
Juan David Espana graduated with distinction from Concordia University with a degree in creative writing, professional writing, and history. His written work includes short stories, plays, video games, marketing materials, academic texts, and podcasts. His work focuses on telling cohesive and meaningful stories that keep audiences engaged, whether for entertainment or marketing purposes.
As an editor, Juan David has collaborated with educational institutions and academic publications. He is an active member of Editors Canada.


Personal:
Juan David is originally from Colombia and moved to Canada at the age of 17 to pursue his dream of becoming a writer. As a self-proclaimed geek, Juan David enjoys reading superhero comics and playing video games in his free time, both of which are major sources of inspiration for his writing. To remain active, Juan David attends multiple spinning classes every week. He also enjoys scouting the city to find hidden coffee shops where he can satiate his love for pastries and listen to podcasts about reality TV — especially Big Brother and RuPaul’s Drag Race.
